Pork Burger Steak

Pork recipe is one of the widest variety  of  dishes you would know in Filipino’s table. From simple soup to astonishing fiesta style menu. Pork is very flexible  for a menu you can  try a lot of dish with it and still experiment with a lot more. But there is one thing that catch my attention when I have a lunch on a local fast food in nearby mall and I love the try it and every child love’s it. one thing I will teach you to cook right now. Looks very complicated when you look at it children’s love it very much and you can do. The procedure is very simple I even let my 10 y/o sister to do it for me and to be honest with you  she always cook this whenenver I ask here to it for me.

½ kg. Ground pork
½ bar of margarine
1 cup of all purpose flour
Cooking oil
2 cups of pork broth
1 can button mushroom (sliced into third part)
1 egg
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Pepper
1  Slice Onion

Procedure for the burger:
1 In one big bowl mix the pork, pepper, egg, onion, pepper, pinch of salt and flour together. Be sure that we you mix it well so that the burger will have even taste. Leave it for a while so the taste would more even distribute.
2 After mixing  all those ingredients make a round meat ball and then pound it to make it more like burger.
3 Heat the frying pan and the put cooking oil then fry the burger.
4 After frying all the burger place them in a platter.

Procedure for the gravy:
1 In the same pan you fry your burger, put the margarine and let it melt.
2 After the margarine was melted put ½ cup of flour and mixed it well until the flour was fully mixed with the flour.
3 When the butter and the flour is completely mixed. Put the pork broth to the pan and mix it when with only low fire. on the stove to avoid making the gravy to dark or taste bitter.
4 After you get your desired thickness to the gravy. You can put some flavor like additional salt, pepper or even chilli power for spiciness.
5 Then lastly you may put the button mushroom for additional taste and ingredients.

After all the procedure you can just simply combined them both or serve first the pork burger then put gravy on top of it. It’s always your personal touch that counts.

A QUICK TIPS FOR YOU:
Don’t throw away your use oil yet. You can use it to add more flavour to your gravy. The reason we use the same pan for cooking the gravy is because the flavour is still there and you can use it for you for additional taste
In any case you don’t have any pork broth prepared. Simply boil one broth cube with 2 cups of water the tasted would still be the same. But always rember nothing beats the natural.

Chicken Curry Recipe

Now I’m going to share with you the 3rd amongst all special chicken recipes that according to my tastes and preference is next to Sinigang na Manok which is the Chicken Curry. According to my friends, this chicken curry is very special when it comes to chicken dishes maybe because of its spicy taste which makes sense and put curry into becoming more popular to people who visits Philippines. I don’t know if you already have an idea what this dish gives to people who eat chicken curry. But when you taste it, I’m pretty sure that you’ll definitely say “wooh!” after tasting one. There are many versions or varieties of chicken curry around the world. I’ve tasted and experienced the Japanese and Korean version of chicken curry, and I know there’s still many of them from different countries and regions that I’ve missed. By the way, here’s how it was cooked, let’s start with the ingredients:

Cooking oil
Ginger, sliced
3-4 potatoes, quartered or sliced into cubes
1 chicken, cut into servings
Garlic, sliced or quartered
Onion, sliced or quartered
1 tbsp. fish sauce (patis in tagalog)
3 tbsp. curry powder
a cup of water
1-2 Red bell pepper, cut into pieces or quartered
A cup of Coconut milk
2-3 Celery stalk, cut ½ inch each

How to cook:
First, heat your pan and fry the potatoes then set it aside for later purpose. Then, in the same pan, deep fry chicken and wait for about 10-15 minutes and wait till it gets a little brown texture. Now add the garlic and onion fry it together on the same pan and wait for few minutes until it’s soft. Add fish sauce and seasoning along with the curry powder, salt and pepper, and stir it for 2 minutes. Now add the water then cover and wait till it boils. Lower the heat and add the celery, bell peppers, fried potatoes and simmer for 2-3 minutes until it’s half-cooked. Then lastly, pour in the coconut milk or evaporated milk then simmer and stir it once in a while for about 5-7 minutes. Then it’s done. Happy eating!

And now let me tell you some health benefits you are getting from this chicken curry dish. Of course our recipe is not complete without even a piece of vegetable in it, what we have here in this recipe is the celery stalk. And according to my short research, celery stalk contains phthalide which can lower blood pressure, and also it lessens the production of catecholamine (exists if physically and emotionally stressed) which causes the imbalance flow of blood by restricting or blocking the blood vessels. So with this celery a bit, you will lessen the possibilities of having a catecholamine in your body. And that’s all for now, hope you enjoy it.

Sinigang na Manok second the best

Since I started my writing a very healthy and helpful tips and recipes made only from Philippines which makes many different types of dishes, what I’m going to do today is to keep on create more about this healthy and beneficial stuff. You may think whatever you want for this stuff but it will surely benefit us. I started it with a chicken recipe so called tinola, now I will just add another recipe that chicken will be involved. To start with, do you know about the so called “Sinigang na Manok” by the Filipino country men?  Well this is the second to the best chicken recipe for me, I don’t know what others think but it is really one of the best things we have here in the Philippines. Having a very good quality of food/dishes, so again, you should try it. So, what do we need then?

Ingredients:

Chicken, quartered till it’s cube-sized
½ cup of tomatoes, sliced or quartered
¼ cup onion, sliced
radish, sliced
1 tablespoon of salt or patis, to add some flavoring
green beans, quartered or sliced
broccoli / spinach / collard greens, you can choose either which of those three leafy vegetables to use
lemon juice, (optional)

How to cook:
First, start boiling water on your saucepan of frying pan, sometimes I use frying pan because we have a bit round and deep type of it. Just make sure you estimate the right and exact amount you desired for cooking. Then after boiling, add the tomatoes and sliced onion into it. Wait for about 2-3 minutes then next to add is your chicken; thereafter simmer it for 10-15 minutes. Also make sure it is well-cooked and then it’s now time to add the radish, simmer again and wait for until 3-5 minutes. And then add salt or patis. After that, add now your selected leafy vegetable, and the one you choose, whether its broccoli or spinach or collard greens, it’s all ok. Don’t mind what you choose among those because it’s like what I’m always insisting. Vegetables are healthy; they just differ on the nutrients they are supplementing to our body. But since I started the writing about it, let me share what I prefer to use amongst, we call it petchay here in our country. Then after simmering it for 2 minutes, it’s now ready to serve. Enjoy

Now let me explain to you guys what are the nutrients that we can get from eating those vegetables I listed. First is the broccoli, do you know that it gives 3% vitamin A that helps our retina to stabilize its retinal to gather enough light-source for our eyes. With vitamin B6 also that helps our protein metabolism generate in normal rate. Next is the spinach, honestly speaking, at first I don’t really know what are this leafy vegetable can provide regarding health issues. But I search for facts about this plant and find out that it contains 52% vitamin A, 52% beta carotene, rich in vitamin C, E, K, also Iron and Calcium supplements. And lastly, the collard greens are also rich in vitamin A, C, K, and Calcium. But of course that still depend on you, on whatever you want to use in your dish.

One of the Filipinos famous foods – Tinola

Filipinos are fond of eating chicken dishes, do we?, tinola, for Filipinos are one of the most unforgettable dishes. Aside from being delicious of this dish, it is also nutritious and healthy. Yes I know that all of us wanted our meal to be healthy as always and with that I would like to share another easy-cooked dish that will surely fulfill your taste for a food.
What do we need?
Ingredients:
1 kilo chiken, cut it to your desire
1 tablespoon cooking oil
3 gloves garlic, divide
1 thumb-size ginger, divide
1 medium-sized onion, cut into pieces
¾ liter of water, to use later for simmering
1 stalk tanglad (lemon grass) or malunggay (either of both), bundled
green papaya, seeded and cut into wedges
pepper and pepper leaves
salt
Of course you need first to heat the cooking oil and after that put the garlic and make it half-cooked. Next is the ginger and onion; do the same on it. And then let’s add the chicken to the pan. Cover the frying pan or saucepan, whatever you use for cooking, to me I use frying pan for this or sometimes our saucepan and wait for 15-20 minutes or longer, it depends on how strong is the fire you applied to your stove. When the chicken is half-cooked add water on it and boil it. Then after that you can now put the green papaya. Make sure it’s cut to wedges. Simmer it and wait for about 10-15 minutes then you can now add lemon grass or malunggay, neither both, whichever you choose, it doesn’t matter, it’s still worthy. But for me what I always use is the malunggay. But they say that lemon grass is more palatable or flavorsome than malunggay. Maybe they believe that it has better nutritional supplements, but for me it really depends. Both are tasteful, edible and healthy. Anyway, I’m going to explain further for that later. About the malunggay or lemon grass after a minute or two you’re already done with the cooking. Easy is it?
I’m now going to elaborate the difference of malunggay and lemon grass when it comes to their health benefits.
Do you know that Malunggay is effective in strengthening the immune system, most commonly added to plenty water dishes and also a good source of nutrients that could add semen count. It helps the inflammation of the joints and tendons when used in tea. Helps also to normalize blood sugar level to prevent diabetes, better night sleep, and contains 3 times potassium than banana. I think that’s too much for now. You can search more about malunggay.

While lemon grass, it contains antifungal and antibacterial properties, also it improve immune system. And for girls, this helps for menstrual problems, because it lessens the blood pressure and improves our body circulation. And also prevent you from having pimples and acne. Also helps to condition our muscles and body tissues. That’s all I got for lemon grass but I know there’s still a lot of its good effects. You can also do deeper research for this if it makes sense.
